Appearance

The overall appearance of the loaf is pleasant, with three big scores on top, and a nice rich color.

The density feels about average. The crust is hard but has a little bit of give.

The outside smell is slight but distinctly sourdough.

The cut is a bit hard because of the hard crust.

The crumb is white/yellow, fairly fluffy, and overall good looking.

The inside smell is that of a good sourdough, that is, neither bland nor unpleasantly sour.

Taste

The crust has quite a bit of life in it. My wife found it a bit rubbery, I thought it had spirit, but it could\ be a bit better. Strong sourdough taste, which is a plus.

The crumb could have a better mouthfeel, but the taste is nice and sourdoughy.

Conclusion

I like the overall taste, the consistency would benefit from a bit of extra work. As sourdoughs go, this is not bad at all.
