Appearance

The bread comes in an unmarked transparent plastic bag, which I'm not crazy about. This is a pain de mie, often referred to as sandwich bread.

I like the look of the loaf, it has lovely ridges on top, and is a dark honey color. The sides are a light tan.

The density of the loaf feels above average. Obviously the loaf is soft, since this is a sandwich bread.

The outside smell is unexpectedly earthy, but overall pleasant. This may be due in part to the plastic bag, which can often cause a bit of fermentation. There is a hint of sweetness in there somewhere.

The cut was OK, although the loaf does tend to collapse a bit under the knife (I can relate to that).

The crumb looks very nice. It's grey-brown, of average density, with quite a few bits of grain visible if you look carefully.

The inside smell is very good, although once again I detect a hint of sweetness that I can't quite explain.

Taste

The crumb and crust are, to use a technical term, yummy, but definitely sweet. What got my attention is the consistency -- the mouthfeel is superior, and gives this bread a slightly higher grade than otherwise.

Conclusion

I wish I had a list of ingredients. Other than that, I really enjoyed the feel of the crumb, it's about as good as it gets. The taste is quite good too.
