Weight 18.5 oz.
Size (LxWxH) 12" x 5" x 3"

Appearance

The bread comes in a paper bag with a transparent plastic window.

This is a very nice looking loaf, with one large score on top that creates a long ridge. The color is very pleasant, slight flour sprinklings. The shape of the loaf is a bit unusual, oval with pointy ends, a shape not unlike that of a football.

The density is above average, the crust is firm, except the wide-open score on top which is soft.

The outside smell is slight and, if I am not mistaken, a tad stale.

The cut was relatively easy, although the bottom resisted a bit.

The crumb is white with a number of large bubbles, and smells nice.

Taste

The texture of the crust is pleasant, and its taste is good.

The crumb is also quite good, good texture, and it tastes fresh -- so much for the stale smell.

Conclusion

Except for the fact that I don't really see anything rustic about it, this is a pretty good bread.
